Polish Alcoholic Unicorn Poo

I thought I had a post lined up for today as well but it turns out I didn't, hence why this post is later than usual. Anyways, today I have the second Polish Alcoholic polish to show you. I love it as much as the first one, and I can't wait to order more from this brand.

Ik dacht dat ik voor vandaag ook nog een post ingepland had maar dat blijkt dus niet zo te zijn, vandaar dat deze post later is dan normaal. Enfin, vandaag heb ik de tweede Polish Alcoholic nagellak om aan jullie te laten zien. Ik vind deze net zo fantastisch als de eerste, en ik kan niet wachten om meer van dit merk te bestellen.

This is Polish Alcoholic Unicorn Poo, a mix of fine multicolor glitter and silver holographic sparkle. I applied one coat of Unicorn Poo over two coats of Essence Love Me, Cupcake! The name of this polish is spot on, I love it. Application was really easy and the glitter pay-off is good. If you want you can even wear this on its own. The third photo was taken in direct lamplight so that you can see all the holographic goodness <3

Dit is Polish Alcoholic Unicorn Poo, een mix van kleine multikleuren glitter en zilveren holografische sparkle. Ik heb één laagje Unicorn Poo aangebracht over twee laagjes Essence Love Me, Cupcake! De naam van deze nagellak is heel toepasselijke, echt geniaal. Het aanbrengen ging makkelijk en er komt veel glitter mee in één keer. Je zou deze zelfs alleen op je nagels kunnen aanbrengen als je dat zou willen. De derde foto is gemaakt in direct lamplich zodat je goed de holografische glitter kan zien <3

Polish Alcoholic Intergalactic Dust

Today I have my second indie polish to show you. I already own a few polishes from Let It Glitter!, but I recently bought two polishes of another Dutch indie brand. I wasn't feeling really well mentally, so I allowed myself to spend my last Christmas money on two nail polishes I've been eyeing for a while. One of them I'll be showing you today :)

Vandaag heb ik mijn tweede indie nagellak om te laten zien. Ik heb al een paar lakjes van Let It Glitter!, maar recentelijk heb ik nog twee lakjes van een andere Nederlandse indie maakster gekocht. Ik voelde me niet zo heel lekker mentaal gezien, dus heb ik toegegeven en mijn laatste Kerstgeld uitgegeven aan twee lakjes die ik al een tijdje wil hebben. Één daarvan laat ik dus vandaag zien :)

This is Polish Alcoholic Intergalactic Dust, a holographic top coat that can transform any polish into a holographic one. For the photos I used two coats of Essence Do You Speak Love? and applied one thin coat of Intergalactic Dust. Holographic polishes are always a pain to photograph, but believe me when I say it looks even more amazing in person. You can purchase Polish Alcoholic polishes via her Etsy shop.

Dit is Polish Alcoholic Intergalactic Dust, een holografische top coat die elke nagellak in een holografische kan veranderen. Voor deze foto's heb ik twee laagjes Essence Do You Speak Love? aangebracht en één laagje Intergalactic Dust. Color Club Harp On It

Today's post features my all time favorite Color Club polish; Harp On It. It's a silver linear holographic polish and it's one of the best holos I've seen so far.

Vandaag heb ik een swatch van mijn favoriete Color Club lak ooit; Harp On It. Het is een zilvere lineaire holografische lak en één van de beste holo's die ik tot nu toe gezien heb.

I used two thin easy coats and no top coat. The first photo is taken in normal light, the second is taken in direct sunlight. See how pretty it is? I have a few holo polishes, but this one definitely has the strongest holo effect.

Ik heb twee dunne laagjes op mijn nagels zonder top coat. De eerste foto is genomen in normaal licht, de tweede in direct zonlicht. Zie je hoe mooi het holo effect is? Ik heb een aantal holo lakken, maar geen enkele heeft zo'n sterk effect als deze.

A England Dragon + OPI Gold Shatter

Today's post is one from the storage box. I made these photo's in December last year but never got around posting them. I have a bunch of photos from different polishes and I've decided to use them as back up for when I want to post something but don't feel like changing my current mani.

De post van vandaag is er eentje uit de voorraad. Deze foto's heb ik in december vorig jaar gemaakt maar het is er niet van gekomen ze toen op mijn blog te zetten. Ik heb nog een stel van dit soort foto's en ik heb besloten om deze te gaan gebruiken als back up voor wanneer ik iets wil posten maar geen zin heb om mijn huidige lak er al af te halen.

As a base I used two coats of A England Dragon, a gorgeous green holo polish. The holo effect isn't really visible in the photos but in real life it's still there. Then I applied a layer of OPI Gold Shatter. I wore this mani when I went to see Thor: The Dark World at the cinema and I got my inspiration from Loki, my favorite character.

And on the fangirl topic, since it's safe to say I am one, I found this awesome site with all sorts of nail polish and make up inspired by various fandoms. It's called Fandom Cosmetics and the website can be found here. So all of you fangirls (and fanboys), feel free to check them out! My personal favorites are "Burdened With Glorious Purpose" (go figure) and "Another!".

Als basis gebruikte ik twee laagjes van A England Dragon, een prachtige groene holografische lak. Het holo-effect is niet echt meer zichtbaar op de foto's, maar in het echt is 'ie zeker aanwezig. Daarna nog een laagje OPI Gold Shatter en klaar. Deze combinatie had ik op mijn nagels toen ik naar Thor: The Dark World ging in de bioscoop. De inspiratie hiervoor heb ik van Loki, mijn favoriete karakter.

En als we het dan toch over fangirls hebben, want ik kan wel zeggen dat ik er één ben, er is een geweldige site met allerlei door verschillende fandoms geïnspireerde nagellakken en andere make-up. De site is van Fandom Cosmetics en kan hier gevonden worden. Dus fangirls (en fanboys), voel je vrij om eens een kijkje te nemen! Kleancolor Holo Chrome

Hi everyone! Sorry for the delay in posting, but I was very busy with writing my internship report so that I could graduate. Which brings me to the choice of nail polish for this post. Today I have a swatch of Kleancolor's Holo Chrome for you, and I wore this one to school when I had the meeting to discuss my report.
Holo Chrome is a very sparkly blue polish, bordering purple (which would make it a blurple I guess XD) when in the bottle. Although on my nails it is most definitely blue which also shows in the photos I made of it. I bought mine at prettypolish.nl for €3,50 but those of you who live in America can find it much cheaper on sites like Amazon.

Hoi iedereen! Excuses voor de vertraagde post, maar ik was druk bezig met het schrijven van mijn stageverslag zodat ik kon afstuderen. Dat brengt mij ook gelijk op de keuze van de nagellak voor deze post. De swatch van vandaag is van Kleancolor's Holo Chrome en ik had deze op mijn nagels toen ik naar school moest voor mijn eindgesprek.
Holo Chrome is een hele glitterige blauwe lak, bijna paars (wat het dus eigenlijk een blurple maakt XD) als je hem in het flesje ziet. Alleen op mijn nagels is die toch echt blauw, wat je ook terug kan zien op de foto's. Mijn exemplaar heb ik gekocht op prettypolish.nl voor €3,50 maar als je in America woont kun je ze goedkoper vinden op sites zoals Amazon.

This is 2 layers of Holo Chrome and no top coat. I think for next time I'm going to apply 3 because you can still see some of the free edge of my nails. My apologies for the shortness of my nails, but one of the nails of my right hand decided to break and since I dislike uneven nails the rest had to go short as well.
The formula of Holo Chrome is good, I had no problems applying it. A little warning though, since the smell of Holo Chrome is pretty strong. So if you don't like strong smelling nail polish you might want to skip this. Other than that I am really satisfied with this polish and I'll probably order some more next time around ^_^

Op deze foto zie je 2 laagjes van Holo Chrome zonder top coat. Ik denk dat ik de volgende keer wel 3 laagjes erop doe omdat het witte randje van mijn nagels nog wel een beetje zichtbaar is. Excuses voor de korte nagels, helaas besloot één van de nagels van mijn rechterhand af te breken en omdat ik niet van ongelijke nagels houd moest de rest ook korter.
De formule van Holo Chrome is goed, hij gleed zo mijn nagels op zonder problemen. Een waarschuwing is wel op zijn plek, aangezien deze nagellak heel sterk ruikt. Dus als je niet tegen hele sterke nagellakgeur kan kun je deze maar beter niet kopen. Alles bij elkaar ben ik heel tevreden over deze lak en ik zal er zeker nog een aantal van dit merk bestellen de volgende keer ^_^

On another note, I have officially graduated and can now call myself a Bachelor of International Communication :D And although it is not part of the official title I suppose I can add "Japanese", seeing as a big part of my study consisted of learning Japanese :3

En dan nog even dit: ik ben officieël afgestudeerd en mag mijzelf nu een Bachelor of International Communication noemen :D Ook al staat het niet in de officieël in de titel ik denk dat ik er ook wel "Japanese" aan kan toevoegen, aangezien ik een groot deel van mijn studie bestond uit het leren van Japans :3
