OPI Get Your Number

I think I'm finally getting the hang of blogging regularly :) I don't always have time to post something but I do take photos of my nails, so I figured if I take one day in the week to write posts for a couple of hours I could then save them and publish later. And I guess it's working. Thank you schedule function :D

Ik denk dat ik eindelijk een beetje beter wordt in het regelmatig bloggen :) Ik heb niet altijd tijd om iets te posten, maar ik maak wel altijd foto's van mijn nagels, dus bedacht ik me dat ik dan gewoon 1 dag in de week een paar uur posts ga schrijven om ze dan later te publishen. En volgens mij werkt dat wel. Dankjewel schedule functie :D

Anyways, back to the polish I'm showing you today. This is OPI Get Your Number, a liquid sand polish in the most amazing shade of blue. I used two coats in the photos, but I probably should've added a third one. In person it looked fine though. Removal wasn't as annoying as I feared, but still more work than your average polish of course. It did chip rather fast, but maybe that's because my nails are on the short side.

Maar nu weer terug naar de nagellak die ik jullie vandaag laat zien. Dit is OPI Get Your Number, een liquid sand lak in de meest geweldige kleur blauw. Ik heb twee laagjes op mijn nagels, maar ik denk dat er nog wel een derde bij mocht voor op de foto. In het echt zag het er prima uit. Het verwijderen was niet zo vervelend als ik vreesde, maar nog steeds wat meer werk dan bij een normale lak. Ik kreeg wel snel last van chips, maar misschien ligt dat aan het feit dat mijn nagels wat aan de korte kant zijn.

Essie Lots of Lux

Today I have another "birthday" polish for you. I received this one during my little birthday bash last weekend. It is my first Essie polish too, so I was really happy when I unwrapped it~

Vandaag heb ik nog een "verjaardag" nagellak voor jullie. Deze heb ik ook gekregen tijdens mijn kleine feestje van afgelopen weekend. Het is mijn eerste Essie nagellak, dus ik was heel blij toen ik deze uitpakte~

This gorgeous blue texture polish is Essie Lots of Lux. I have only one coat of polish on my nails and as you can see it covers really well :D But unfortunately I only noticed the bald spot on my ring finger when I was editing the photos, so please pretend it's not there ^^; Next time I will use two coats so that I don't have this anymore. Other than that little thing I am in love with this polish. It reminds me a bit of a more vibrant version of Zoya Sunshine (although I don't own it), so that's another polish I can cross off my wishlist. Application was really smooth and because I only used one coat it was removed really easy too.

Deze beeldschone blauwe textuurlak is Essie Lots of Lux. Ik heb maar één laagje op mijn nagels en zoals je kan zien dekt die als een malle :D Helaas kwam ik er pas bij het editen van de foto's achter dat ik een kaal plekje op mijn ringvinger heb, dus doe alsjeblieft alsof die er niet is ^^; De volgende keer lak ik er twee laagjes op zodat ik dit probleem niet meer heb. Behalve dat kleine dingetje ben ik echt verliefd geworden op deze lak. Hij doet me wel een beetje denken aan een iets fellere versie van Zoya Sunshine (ook al heb ik die niet), dus dat is weer een lak minder op mijn wishlist. Het aanbrengen ging heel soepel en omdat ik maar één laagje aangebracht had ging het er ook heel makkelijk weer af.

Essence Superheroes LE

Today I have swatches from three polishes recently released by Essence in their "Superheroes" collection. There are six different polishes available, and I chose three of them. All my swatches are two coats, no top coat.

Vandaag heb ik swatches van de nieuwe "Superheroes" collectie van Essence. Er zijn in totaal zes verschillende lakjes te verkrijgen en ik heb er drie van uitgekozen. Alle swatches zijn twee laagjes, geen top coat.

The first one is the color changing polish Fantastic Girl. When warm, this polish turns pink, when cold it turns purple. The first photo is how it normally looks on my nails. The second photo was taken after I held my fingers in cold water for a bit. This would have been my favorite of the three if it had a different color, but I really don't like this shade of pink (I do like the purple). That being said, Essence did a great job with this one, and I really hope they'll release more colors in the future.

De eerste is de thermo lak Fantastic Girl. Zodra deze warm is dan kleurt 'ie roze, als deze koud is dan kleurt 'ie paars. Op de eerste foto zie je hoe 'ie normaal op mijn nagels is. De tweede foto is genomen nadat ik mijn handen eventjes in koud water heb gehouden. Dit zou mijn favoriet zijn geweest als de kleur anders was, want deze kleur roze is niet zo mijn ding (paars wel). Dat terzijde heeft Essence een hele goed thermo lak uitgebracht en ik hoop echt dat ze in de toekomst meer kleuren zullen uitbrengen.

The second polish is Super, Man!, which is a silver foil with holographic glitters in it. It's not really special, but I always like a good silver polish, so I'll definitely wear this one again. On the accent nail I used some really pretty glitter that I bought at a budget store. I first polished it with a layer of Essence Give Me Nude, Baby and let it dry. Then I applied a second coat and dipped my nail into the glitter. On the second photo you can see how it sparkles :D

De tweede lak is Super, Man! en dit is een zilvere folie lak met holografische glitter. Deze is niet heel bijzonder, maar ik houd wel van een goede zilvere lak, dus deze zal ik zeker vaker dragen. Als accent nagel heb ik een hele mooie glitter gebruikt die ik bij Wibra heb gekocht. Eerst lakte ik mijn nagel met een laagje Essence Give Me Nude, Baby en liet dit drogen. Toen deed ik er een tweede laagje op en dipte ik mijn nagel in de glitter. Op de tweede foto is de glitter sparkle goed te zien :D

The last polish I bought was The Incredible, a turquoise polish with a sand effect. This is definitely my favorite out of the bunch. I am in love with this color <3 The sand effect isn't as strong as some of the others I own, but it still has that rough feel to it.

De laatste lak die ik kocht was The Incredible, een turkoois lakje met een sand effect. Dit is zonder twijfel mijn favoriet van de drie. Ik vind de kleur ontzettend mooi <3 Het sand effect is niet zo sterk als bij andere lakken die ik heb, maar voelt nog steeds ruw aan.
